I know some of you all already have it.  I just bought it today.  The My Player feature is pretty sweet IMO.

Has anyone got very far into the My Player mode yet?  I didn't realize my guy would start off as such a terrible player.  In the 1st summer game I struggled to keep his teammate grade above a C- and ended up getting a C.

I am about 10 games into the D-league season with my guy. I usually get a teammate grade of B or so. He is only a 42 overall though, so he is pretty terrible. I don't play it too much because the 360 is in the main room. I was going to get it for ps3, but there weren't any in stock.

I went through once with a 6'5" athletic PG, but I got tired of playing from that position, and I also got about 30 games in the D-League season and never got called up.  Even though I had been the starting PG for 15 games and was averaging 18/9/6.

I started a new one as a 7'2" athletic center and got through the summer league and training camp without ever getting a grade of worse than an A-.  I made it through training camp and made the Pistons roster, and 10 games in I'm finally the starting center.  I've got my guy up to a 51 overall.  The first 5 or 6 games I was basically the 9th or 10th man and only getting about 6 or 7 minutes per game, but I was still getting 8-10 points and 3-5 rebounds.  Since I've been a starter, I'm averaging close to 20 points and 8 or 9 boards a game.

I have it. I haven't played the My Player feature yet, just done some exhibition games to figure out the gameplay. Some of the buttons are backwards from the college game I usually play, so it's taken some getting used to.

So I decided to do an "All-Time" tournament via the playoffs.

What I did:  I picked two teams from each decade (the team of the decade, IMO, from each conference) and assigned the 8 or 9 best players from the all-time teams on the game to each team.  To give me an even 10 teams I made up an International team.

I am playing with the Bulls (90's East) and I did create Jordan.  He is a 99 overall, but I didn't max out every attribute at 99.  I think we can all agree he deserves the 99 overall rating.

Here are the rosters:

San Antonio Spurs (2000's West)
Chris Paul
Kobe Bryant
Carmelo Anthony
Amare Stoudamire
Tim Duncan

Deron Williams
Tracy McGrady
Brandon Roy
Rasheed Wallace

Detroit Pistons (2000's East)
Allen Iverson
Dwyane Wade
Lebron James
Kevin Garnett
Dwight Howard

Chauncey Billups
Paul Pierce
Vince Carter
Chris Bosh

Garnett should probably be on the West but the East needed some depth in the frontcourt, and besides, Garnett really sealed his legacy in East.  It was hard leaving Ray Allen off the team, but he has spent much of his career in the East (Bucks and Celtics) and so I decided to put Roy on the West.  I realized (after I had made the rosters, started the playoffs, and saved it) that Allen spent a good portion of his career in Seattle and probably should have been on the West.

Utah Jazz (1990's West)
Jason Kidd
Clyde Drexler
Chris Mullin
Karl Malone
Hakeem Olajuwon

Gary Payton
David Robinson
Mitch Richmond

Chicago Bulls (1990's East)
Tim Hardaway
Michael Jordan
Scottie Pippen
Alonzo Mourning
Shaquille O'Neal

Patrick Ewing
Grant Hill
Dennis Rodman
Joe Dumars

I went ahead and put Shaq on the 90's East even though he probably could've been on 2000's West.  I wanted to play with him, and he did have a good decade in the 90's as well, so I put him on the Bulls.  Looking at the frontcourt rotation of the 2000's West, I feel that I probably did make a mistake.

Los Angeles Lakers (1980's West)
Magic Johnson
Clyde Drexler (didn't mean to put him on two teams)
James Worthy
Tom Chambers
Hakeem Olajuwon (did mean to put him on two teams)

Alex English
Jack Sikma
Michael Cooper

Boston Celtics (1980's East)
Isiah Thomas
Sidney Moncrief
Larry Bird
Kevin McHale
Moses Malone

Dominique Wilkins
Maurice Cheeks
Robert Parish
Larry Nance

The '80's West had no frontcourt depth so I gave them Olajuwon.  He is supposed to be on two teams, but not Drexler.  Again, I had saved it and everything before I realized Drexler was on two different teams.

Portland Trail Blazers (1970's West)
Jerry West
David Thompson
Rick Barry
Bill Walton
Artis Gilmore

Spencer Haywood
Lenny Wilkens
Maurice Lucas
Gail Goodrich

New York Knicks (1970's East)
Walt Frazier
Pete Maravich
Julius Erving
Dave Cowens
Willis Reed

George Gervin
Tiny Archibald
Earl Monroe
Bob McAdoo

Philadelphia 76ers (1950's/1960's East and West)
Oscar Robertson
John Havlicek
Elgin Baylor
Bill Russell
Wilt Chamberlain

Bob Pettit
Bob Cousy
Dolph Schayes
Bill Sharman

Dallas Mavericks (International)
Steve Nash
Manu Ginobli
Dirk Nowitzki
Pau Gasol
Yao Ming

Tony Parker
Andrei Kirlenko
Luol Deng
Nate Thurmond

I know Thurmond isn't an International but I needed a 9th guy for the team so I took the highest rated guy remaining from the all-time teams to help the Mavs out.  The 50's/60's team is loaded but they are combined on the game so I made the all-time team combined as well.

I just kind of guessed on the seeds and basically set up the 4/5 first round matchups as a play-in game.  I decided on the '70's east and Intrernational team as the 5 seeds and the '80's East and '70's West as the 4 seeds.  Both four seeds won their first round series.  Here's how the bracket looks now.

West

1  Lakers (80's West)
4  Blazers (70's West)

3  Spurs ('00's West)
2  Jazz (90's West)

East
1  Bulls (90's East)
4  Celtics (80's East)

3  Pistons ('00's East)
2  76ers (50s/60s)

I went back and made a new guy since my PG was having trouble making it to the NBA. I have a 6'9 SF/PF. I made it to the T-Wolves averaging 20ppg and 12 rpg in training camp. I haven't really started the season with him on the T-Wolves, though.

I made a NBA Association earlier and made a bunch of trades. I got trade happy and traded away Flynn by accident. My starting lineup as of right now consists of:
PG: Patty Mills/Raefer Alston
SG: Joe Johnson
SF: Andre Iguadala
PF: Sam Young
C: Kevin Garnett

Young is a bit undersized, but I have used my training points every month for the past 2 seasons on him. I have him up to a 75 overall, and he dunks it almost every time in the lane. I also have Lamarcus Aldridge and Nick Young. Nick Young is up to a 76 and has 99 dunking and like an 88 vertical overall. I played the first season with Al Jefferson, but ended up trading him and got Kevin Garnett out of a trade. I picked up Joe Johnson from free agency. Somehow I ended up with Stephen Jackson and James Posey. I traded both of them and a 1st round draft pick for Iggy and some scrub.
