With 2021 season coming up and it being much anticipated I figured we could get some discussion going...

Who are the some of the favorites, teams to watch, and dark horses in 4A, 5A, and 6A?

Who are some notable players around the state?

New rules this year? Goal kicks received in penalty box? No shootouts? Any others?

Conference tournaments seem to be a thing this year. Conference games being moved the last week to make room for conference tournaments. Since soccer only gets 1 and 1/2 weeks for games for non conference now were basically starting with conference games.

Less than two months until soccer 2021 kicks off! Everybody has probably started practicing by now.

Boys:
3A: My top 3 are : CAC, Harding Academy, and Green Forest
4A: My top 3 are: Dequeen, Valley, and Warren(maybe)
5A: My top 3 are: Russellville, Siloam, and Searcy(maybe)
6A: I do not know much about 6A.

Girls:
3A: CAC will be running it
4A: Harrison and Shiloh
5A:Not sure
6A: Probably Bryant

Goal kick's match USSF now, like you mentioned

Ball hitting an official and starting a promising attack, going into the goal, or causing a possession change now goes to a drop ball, matching USSF

Drop ball replaces stoppage for injury (I think this was a change last year but people might not have seen that in action - replaces IFK that it used to be; exception if GK is in possession). The drop ball procedure has also been changed to match USSF, eliminating contested drop balls.

Free kick wall rule also changed to match USSF, where if three defenders are in a wall attackers have to be a yard away

PK rule for GK has been updated to match USSF where keepers only have to keep one foot on or over the line until the ball is kicked. Matches real world how it's been called usually, most referees would give a keeper a step.

Haven't heard anything about no shootouts but wouldn't be surprised.

There will be no shootouts except in playoffs after sudden death over time.
