Hector may finish 3rd or 4th but until playcalling gets fixed and change up some personal on defense we are in trouble

Burg gets beat 46-14. This game was real close for 3 quarters. Down 21-7 at the half and should have been 21-14. Had ball on the 1 yard line and got a unsportsmanlike penalty and end up turning it over. We scored to start 2nd half then they scored again to make it 28-14. We drove again down the field and had 3rd and goal from the 1 and fumble the next 2 snaps and turned it over. They scored again and we just ran out of gas. Proud of how hard we played without our QB. Unfortunately he is done for the season but we showed some good things tonight especially the offense. The line bounced back and really open up some big holes for the backs. I think we are going to be tuff come conference time.

Now that you have seen both the 1-3A Pirates play in Greenland and Cedarville the last two weeks which do you think has the leg up there in that league? Cause its still really hard to tell how the 4-2A and 1-3A conference will go from what has happened in 2 or 3 games for everybody now.

We wonít finish last, but will struggle to place at the top. Magazine and Burg will be tough. Regardless of Hectors performance last night, they will be tough too. I think itís a toss up after number one (Magazine) between Hackett, Burg and Hector.

IMO Cedarville is better then Greenland but not by much. Greenland spreads you out and the QB is good for a sophomore has a really good arm but Cedarville is big and physical and the 2 backs they have are really good especially the Sophomore he is going to be special. Even though we got whomped in both games it should help us come conference time because no disrespect to the other teams but we will not face anyone in conference that is as good as Cedarville or Greenland. They would beat everyone in our conference and both teams will be in the 3A playoffs.

3A-1
1. Lamar or Bonneville  (unlike some not ready to count Booneville out)
2. Lamar or Bonneville
3. Cedarville
4. Mansfield or Greenland
5. Mansfield or Greenland

2A-4
1. Magazine
2. Mtburg
3. Hector
4  Hackett
5. Lavaca

Magazine is everyoneís pick to win it right now and should be but still donít know how good they really are with a non conference schedule thatís not very strong probably want know until they play Hector.

Mtburg I believe is over the shock of losing the QB and the offense should only get better each week especially now that coach decided to play the big boys both ways which really improved the O-line last night. Week 9 and 10 should be exciting.

Hector scares me they can easily win this conference again. They are hard to beat at home and they host Magazine. Plus they have Burgís number it seems. We just canít beat them.

Hackett is young but looks to be getting better each week. Top 3 need to be careful or could get upset by them.

Lavaca is also young but what really hurts them is only having 18-20 players.

I like this post. Everything seems in order. Magazines conference to lose IMO. Burg, Hector, and Hackett will battle it out. Hector and Burg are both hard to beat at home. Magazine will be tested, but I really think they pull it off.

Thank you for the analysis and good luck to you all moving forward....

That's why everyone needs to pump the brakes on the "Mountainburg is down" talk because the 1-3A is very deep this year. They have solid teams all the way down to its 5 seed probably this year. Outside the 5-3A its the best conference in 3A so as you said anyone in the 4-2A would lose to Cedarville and Greenland by a sizable margin as well.

The opposite goes for Magazine. Yes, at this point they look to be the favorite but how good are their two wins looking now that Mt Ida and Bigelow are being dismantled by everyone they play. Again, you have to put the Rattlers as favorites but it would not be wise to count out Burg, Hector, or even a Hackett who is better than we thought would be.

Hector not hard to beat at home if you saw how they played last night against a mediocre Perryville team

Yeah I heard they even struggled with mighty Marshalls offense... So that's definitely alarming when you give up more points to a team than Two Rivers did..

Hackett is the surprise of the season.   if they can pull it out this week they will be on a heater and once a team gets on a heater they are hard to beat.  Conference wise the back to back road game to your place and Hector has the 'storm most concerned.  Still does as WCA21 is down playing his boys.  He knows they are going to be ready to defend that home winning streak.  But as far a conference champions, it looks as of now to be a week nine show down between the 'zine and da 'burg.  The only question is are both teams able to arrive unscathed.  As the 'storm see a lot of surprises in this conference this season.
