CHG coaches agreed last year to scrimmage here/there in a two year series before anyone was ranked anything in the Hooten's book.  Bulldogs came to HG last year......our turn to go there this year.  Already set up ahead of time, besides it's very close to travel on a Tuesday school night.  Don't worry about us Oldman, we've met some of the top teams in 7 on 7's this summer......Junction, Rison, and Fordyce to name a few.

I do applaud your Owls for taking on Warren.  That will be a big test for your guys.

Noles are looking pretty decent playing against the nettelon. 35-9 at halftime and all 3 QBs has played. Two sophomores and Sr leader MJ Vance. Sophomore Don Littleton Jr pass for his first high school touchdown. This year the Seminoles games will be livestream this year. Facebook page “Seminole Nation” and YouTube channel “Seminole nation”. Osceola coach will be talking about the games every week on YouTube. Tune in and good luck everyone.

Hornets 48 - Bulldogs 0 in tonight's scrimmage.  Hornets were very vanilla white bread tonight, but what they did seemed to work pretty well.  Lots of sophomore Hornets got to play tonight.  Bulldogs had some players sitting from what I was told, but the ones who played looked to me like gave it their all.  I saw a little bit of bullcrap after the play, but nothing like as bad as last year's scrimmage with them.  Saw no injuries for either team.  Also had a couple of pretty darn good burgers tonight too.  Thanks Hampton and good luck.

Wildcats looked really good tonight against Southside and Blytheville. For one half of football HA qb was 14-20 for 235 and 4 touch. Probably 50 on ground and another td. Lookout for the cats.

The offense looked good, even with some backups playing half the time. QB very much on target. Also, he and Stone Sheffield ran the ball very well.

But the defense has some work to do. Gave up 4 touchdowns (3 to Blytheville), and it might have been five had a wide-open receiver behind the defense not dropped a pass that hit him in the hands. All touchdowns on big plays. Actually one of the big plays set up a short run for the score. Except for a long run on the first play for Blytheville, the 'Cats looked pretty good against the run.

I forgot to mention that the placekicker looked very good. All five kicks looked like they had a consistent trajectory well above the crossbar and close to midway between the uprights. Good distance, too.

Two big plays came from D1 back at Blytheville.  He was difficult to handle.  Two blown coverages for sure, though.  Bet that gets fixed.

Cedarville played Magizine tonight  and the pirates looked very solid in the scrimmage tonight. With starters in for both teams the pirates went 39-0  with 18 of the points coming in 10 plays from the 30 and they scored 21 in a 12 min quarter. I was really surprised with how good the denfense looked alot of negative playes yet still very hard to tell how good they will be against a solid 3a team but if played like tonight they will most definitely be looking at a 3 or 4 seed in the playoffs got alot to work on but most definitely looked good both ways alot of young players got in tonight which actually might help later into the season.

Newport 7 - Jacksonville 7
Newport 0 - Maumelle 21

They have a really good team with a ton of speed! Jacksonville was quite a bit bigger than them and Maumelle has a lot of speed. Props for playing up in classification.

Newport matched up well in certain areas.  The Greyhounds were very much undersized comparatively speaking.  Glad they accepted the challenge of playing up two and three classifications.

I'm guessing the Hounds are at least a year away from their peak. I understand the sophomore class is loaded. That's not to say they won't be pretty good this year.

Probably a fair assessment.  Lots of skill talent.  Just not enough size on line.  Lots of 3A schools dealing with same issue, so I don’t look for anyone to feel sorry for us! Haha

Clinton and Pottsville should be underway. Seems like a pretty good match-up, any report on how it's going?
