Izard County history in the making
« on: April 28, 2019, 02:48:19 pm »
It appears that not only will ICC make history with  four consecutive finals appearances ( 2018 - 2021), they also look to be primed to also win the baseball championship.   Has any other Class A (or any class for that matter) school ever won both basketball and baseball titles in same school year?

Too lazy to find the answer to your question, but it may be pointless in trying to answer it.

Izard County has yet to beat Viola this season, why are you saying ICC is the favorite? Yes, they are in the running for sure but so are about 4 or 5 other teams.

Heck, we haven't even started regionals yet.

As far as basketball, yes they will for sure be favorite to win it all, but lots of things can happen especially in small school districts.

Viola and Taylor are the favorites. ICC is prolly top 5, but doesn't have an easy draw in the regional.

Just going by Maxpreps having ICC rated #1, Taylor #2, then Viola, etc..........will Viola and ICC be in same regional?   If they are, still, I think that 4 teams from each regional go to state.......which will be at Taylor I believe.   If ICC comes in 2nd in Regional, would they then be on Taylor's side of the bracket?

ICC lost to Taylor in the second round, 3-7. ICC will be returning almost everyone and will acquire a few more players that were too young this season. Very promising future in store for this group.

Sack would refer you to the Eagle website where we have every trophy weíve ever won displayed and catalogged for the worlds enjoyment and wonderment! Of special note would be our across the board success in our well rounded and more rounded athletic program than most! Through the decades as opposed to the prisoners of the moment and Johnny come latelys that Sack chuckles and guffaws at as well!! 60ís through 2018 every dang one of em !! Sack is currently in the 80ís and tornadoing into the 90ís best two decades in ArkNsas basketball history and wonít be duplicated by this jv quality stuff of today!! Itís a great read if you like pictures of trophies

"Baseball is an easy sport to play".......some of the greatest athletes who ever lived played baseball and are in the hall of fame after having been successful only about 30% of the time.....how would a 30% success rate play in football or basketball?    Hitting a baseball is the hardest single thing to do in all of sports.....Give the baseball guys their due.......they are just as talented and dedicated as the basketball or football guys, or gals........

And you can't stall to run out the time, you have to continue throwing to the batter and making plays to get them out
