Im new to this forum as I spend most of my time enjoying the arguments over sports, and yes taking part in them too.  I've seen some posters mention Stephen Hunters books.   Most of the posts were about the Bobbie Lee Swagger books.  I would encourage all of you to read Hot Springs.  In chronological order this would be the start of the Swagger family legacy in Arkansas, with Bobbies dad Earl.  Earl won the medal of Honor and comes home to Hot Springs to rid the town of gangsters.  If you are into larger than life heros, and books that are about Arkansas, this is a must read.  I did read somewhere that at one point there was talk about a movie.  Would love to see 1940 gangster land Arkansas come to life.
