Any word on who will fill the vacancies left by coaches at PG, Horatio, and NLR?

I haven't heard anything but I do know PG just reopened their applications on their website.  Apparently the last coach taught PE and that's what the first application said, now the new one wants a Core Content teacher w/ CDL. Only update I have.

Where did the NLR coach go? Heard rumors on Horatio, but suspect they're just that: rumors.

What is NLR like? I know they have had a good baseball program. But what about the actual school?

1000% better than L.R., plus a new school. Iím guessing they still play at Burns park, so facilities arenít on campus.

The last time I was there (several years ago) I think they had just renovated the stadium at Burns. Was really nice at that time.

I don't think anything specific, just a different direction for the program..I'm not really sure though to be honest.

Who was the coach at Batesville?

I heard a group of parents got with a big money person in a closed door meeting about the coach. AD is head football coach. Big money person= football booster. Then the rest is history.

Then the rest is history.  Then hereís the good part.. AD cough cough football coach has Batesville number 1 pitcher (also football player) run in district track meet instead of playing in do or die game in district baseball tournament. I donít know who would want to deal with that as a baseball coach.

I would think this job would attract young coaches in NWA. Good location for sure. Not sure what kind of talent is coming up though.

Wouldn't it make sense to wait for your season to be over before this is announced? or did Tuck jump the gun?

My feel is we will see what is out there & if slim pickings, Birmingham will take it for the year. We are 1-2 football asst short & 1 of those probably needs to be a baseball guy.
